This hand made piece is a genuine traditional Kuchi Afghan dress made from antique textiles and luxurious velvet from the 1970s. The perfect example of sustainable clothing. The front panel has embroidery and mirror detailing and the sleeves have unique and stunning embellishments, as well as an extravagant embroidery border on the cuffs. It also has a tie waist, making this the perfect statement piece for an evening of extravagance!
Origin: Afghanistan, the antique textiles originated in the 1900s, and and the velvet aspects of the dress were made in the 1970s.
Condition: Never been worn, but as it’s decades old, has some signs of wear - please email if you’d like more images.
